Preperation

This weekend went way too fast! We definitely had a busy, busy weekend! Saturday morning was Nathan’s Christening Preparation class. I was joined by his God Parents: Tonya & Stephen. One of the exercises was to jot down a list of things that I would like for Nate to have or work toward over the next 18 years. My list consisted of:
·         Being healthy
·         Going to Church
·         Have good grades
·         Play Sports (especially Baseball, according to his Dad)
·         Like outdoors
·         Be a good reader/writer
·         Get a Scholarship
·         Be a safe driver
·         Have lots of friends
·         Go to college
·         Be nice to his sister
·         Be outgoing
·         Travel
We each made a list for him and the most recognizable different things that his God Parents had were, Tonya- like Roller Skating! She said that she will be working on this in about the next 5 years. Stephen- Play SOCCER! I can defiantly attest that he will have a great Soccer coach, that would be Stephen bc his father knows 0 about Soccer! LOL! OF course whatever sport he decides to take up I just pray that he is not accident prone like ME! Keeping our medical bills down will be a goal.

We went shopping and got Lia’s pretty dress for the occasion. I am excited to see her prissy little self in her dress! We also joined a gym over the weekend. It seems like it will be nice they have a great playroom for the kids. We are going to try it out tonight; at least that is the plan. I was trying for so long to avoid paying for a membership. The deal is you can’t really keep your heart rate up while walking behind a tricycle. Then when you get 4-5 blocks away from home while pushing a jogging stroller and your 3 yr old says- “I don’t want to ride my bike anymore!” what do you do…well of course push the jogging stroller & carry the 30lb tricycle with one arm all WHILE trying to keep your 3 yr old from running into the street!  SEE…I think the membership will be worth it! So I’m thinking at least 2-3 days a week, then we have Lia’s dance class 1 day. So it will all work out! I also covertly discovered that there is a really good Nail Spa directly across the street from the gym..Why is this important you may ask?! WELL bc I can drop Hubby & the kids off at the Gym and sneak to get my nails done! Hahahaha!

Happy Monday!

Last night was GREAT! Lia's first dance class was awesome. She had so much fun and did such a great job. For being such and active little girl it was so nice to see her follow directions and work so well as part of a team. I can see that this is something that she really will be good at. Of course, she was so adorable and sported her dance gear with pride. She was the first in line and sat right next to the teacher. There were 15 girls in the class. They did lots of stretching and also played with a parachute which was really cute and creative. I am sure that this will be a new Tuesday night ritual.

After Dance we met the family at El Fenix to celebrate Uncle Mike's 60th birthday. We sat at our usual table for 12. And had a yummy german chocolate cake that grandma Salerno made. It was great to see everyone. The night was so rushed...from getting off of work at 5, picking kiddos up and getting to dance class by 5:45, then at restuaurant by 7:30! We were not home until around 9 which is a little late on a "school night". I was quite proud of my self though! Learning time managment for a family of four is quite a challenge. If you know me then you know orginzation does not come naturally. It is comming along though, just planning things out better and keeping a "schedule" on my phone is helping quite a bit.

As for the rest of the week, no big plans! This is a great thing :)  I SHOULD have time to clean up at the house and get a few things done. Have been pretty rushed this week.

Dance Perspective

YES! Today is Lia's first day of dance class! She is 3 1/2 and i KNOW that it may be young but she is super excited. It is called Dance Perspective and teaches them the basics of ballet, tap, jazz and just really to help them develop coordination. I think I may be more excited than Her! Last night we went and bought the whole ensemble- tights, leotard, slippers! She already has 3 different color tutu's that she got for Christmas.

Will update soon with details of how the class went and pictures :)

Day 1! This is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. Have a place to put down my thoughts. I don't plan on this taking too much time out of my day, but i have so many reasons that I should do this! The main one being my KIDS. I they do so many things that I note mentally but we all know how that goes. I want to be able to let them look back and laugh at their silly stories, and see what we were really going through as a family as they grow. Well as WE grow! I am going to try and commit to updating at LEAST once a week. ( Had to put in writing so that I can remind myself)!
